Following a soft-launch earlier in September, The Pokemon Trading Card Game Online is now available worldwide in Australia, Canada, France, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The free-to-play title works with iPad and iPad Mini devices that are third-generation and newer.

The Pokemon Trading Card Game Online was already available as a downloadable client for PC and Mac, but now gamers can take the game with them wherever they go, provided they have Wi-Fi access or network support.
The iPad version of The Pokemon Trading Card Game Online offers a similar experience to the PC/Mac version. In fact, The Pokemon Company says game features “are identical,” featuring deck building, card trading, and avatar customization, as well as head-to-head modes in the form of player-versus-computer and player-versus-player online modes. There is also a tutorial to help get newcomers up to speed.
In the game, players receive a handful of free card decks, and you can earn more in a variety of ways, including playing head-to-head matches with other players or computer opponents. You can also unlock new digital cars through the purchase of physical theme decks and other Pokemon products.
The Pokemon Trading Card Game Online continues its worldwide march later this week, when it will be released in markets like Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America. For more on the game, you can see a collection of screenshots in this post. It is unclear if The Pokemon Company is planning to launch the game for Android or Windows devices down the road.
