Ahead of the holiday shopping season, Nintendo on Tuesday announced two new, lower-priced Nintendo 2DS models that will start showing up at retailers later this month.
The new Crystal Red Nintendo 2DS, in stores November 21
The new Crystal Red and Crystal Blue semi-transparent systems will be available on November 21 for $100, a markdown of $30 from the system’s standard $130 price.
The new 2DS models will be released on the same day that Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, remakes of classic Game Boy Advance titles Ruby and Sapphire, arrives for Nintendo 3DS.
The 2DS is compatible with all 3DS games, though you won’t get the 3D effect, of course.
