Single-player progress won’t carry over when upgrading some games to next-gen

Representatives for EA, Activision, and Ubisoft confirm that single-player progress for Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will not migrate forwards.

Single-player progress for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will not carry forward to their next-generation counterparts, representatives for Electronic Arts, Activision, and Ubisoft have confirmed with Kotaku.

Multiplayer progress and purchased downloadable content for Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts, however, will make the transition. It is not clear if multiplayer progress for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will also carry over.

A representative for another big-budget Ubisoft title this fall, Watch Dogs, was not able to confirm whether or not save progress in that open-world game would carry over.

Watch Dogs releases for current-generation consoles and PC on November 19 in North America, while the game will be available at launch for PS4 (November 15) and Xbox One (November 22).
