Sleeping Dogs developer United Front will reveal more details about it’s next game, Triad Wars, this Monday, September 22, 12pm PST.
Triad Wars Community Manager James Baldwin described the new project as a PC online game. “I wanted to let you know that we will be unveiling the game on Monday!” Baldwin said in a post to the developer’s official website. “We are extremely excited to finally show you what we have been working on so stay tuned to this space!”
Back in June, United Front said that its next game will be free-to-play and published by Nexon, the same company publishing Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski’s free-to-play arena shooter Project BlueStreak, and Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies, which releases September 23.
“Nexon brings an unparalleled wealth of knowledge of the growing free-to-play market,” United Front Games CEO Stephen van der Mescht said at the time. “We are thrilled to partner with a publisher who has an excellent track record of building direct and meaningful relationships with players.”
The name Triad Wars obviously sounds similar to the Hong Kong crime world setting of Sleeping Dogs, but at this point it’s unclear if the two games are related in any other way, especially since Sleeping Dogs was published by Square Enix.
