StarCraft II Update Panel at BlizzCon 2013

During this year’s StarCraft II panel we'll be talking with you about the present state of the game as well as where it’s headed in terms of upcoming features and improvements, multiplayer gameplay, and eSports. Here’s a brief guide to attending the StarCraft II panel, whether you’re at BlizzCon or watching along at home (for BlizzCon Virtual Ticket subscribers), as well as a quick preview of the 2013 World Championship Series Global Finals, which is free to watch all weekend long.


Friday, November 8 – StarCraft II Update

  • 22:15 p.m. – 23:15 p.m. CET
  • On the BlizzCon Panel Stage

Catch an overview of the improvements coming to StarCraft II with the impending Patch 2.1. Then, learn about the design team's approach to multiplayer gameplay and balance, and finally get caught up to speed on past and present World Championship Series, as well as a few of our thoughts as we head in to next year’s WCS. The panel is scheduled to include Senior Game Producer Tony Hsu, Senior Manager of Community Development Kevin Johnson, Senior Game Designer David Kim, and Senior eSports Manager Kim Phan.


Friday, November 8 – 2013 WCS Global Finals – Round of 16 and Quarterfinals

Saturday, November 9 – 2013 WCS Global Finals – Semifinals and Grand Final

  • Saturday, November 9 19:00 p.m. CET – Sunday, November 10 02:30 a.m. CET
  • On the StarCraft II Stage

The 2013 StarCraft II World Championship Series will reach its epic conclusion with the Global Finals as the Top 16 WCS contenders battle it out to determine who among them will be crowned this year's champion. The round of 16 bracket stage will kick off shortly following the WCS Global Finals pre-show on Friday, and matches will be broadcast all day long. Be sure to tune back in at 19:00 p.m. CET on Sunday for a StarCraft II exhibition match, followed by the semifinals, and grand final where a victor will rise to claim the title of 2013 StarCraft II World Champion.
