DreamHack Open: Bucharest is coming this weekend (September 14-15) and it’s attracting some of the greatest players in the world to Romania. Which leaves just one question on our minds: who will get those precious remaining WCS points to qualify for the Global Finals at BlizzCon 2013?
There’ll be no easy points… or money!
Tune in to the free live stream via the WCS Portal and you won’t miss any of this action-packed tournament. Legendary experts including Day[9], Apollo, Artosis and many more will be presenting it all in HD quality.
Who are you rooting for?
Two European favorites – Manuel ‘Grubby’ Schenkhuizen, recently eliminated in the Ro32 in the WCS EU Premier league, plus Dario ‘TLO’ Wünsch – are facing their last chance to make it to the ultimate event this year: the Global Finals at BlizzCon.
This WCS Tier 1 event has maybe the most stacked competitor list ever seen in the history of StarCraft II at DreamHack. You’ll be able to watch the current #1 in the WCS Global Standings Lee ‘INnoVation’ Shin Hyung, and Lee ‘Jaedong’ Jae Dong (currently at #2), plus players who are even more desperate for points. Get ready to see Son ‘StarDust’ Seok Hee (#37 and the winner of DreamHack Summer 2013), Park ‘ForGG’ Ji Soo (#18), Mun ‘MMA’ Seong Won (#26), Ko Seok ‘HyuN’ (#25), Dmytro ‘DIMAGA’ Filipchuk (#30), Lee ‘Flash’ Young Ho (#39) and many more, all of whom are still in with a shout of making it to BlizzCon.
It’s not just about the points in Bucharest, though. There’s also a prize pool of around $26,500 USD up for grabs, plus four slots for the DreamHack Grand Finals at DreamHack Winter 2013.
