Two New Injustice 2 Characters Revealed

Making good on a promise from creative director Ed Boon, NetherRealm Studios has revealed two new characters from Injustice 2 at a San Diego Comic-Con panel.

Wonder Woman and Blue Beetle were each shown off with brief gameplay demonstrations. These two join the characters we already knew about: Batman, Superman, Supergirl, Aquaman, Atrocitus, Supergirl, and Gorilla Grodd.

Future character announcements could include someone from Mortal Kombat, though Boon noted that “it likely won’t be Scorpion again.”

“Scorpion was the most downloaded character in Injustice 1, so we’d be idiots not to” include another crossover character, he added.

Also during the panel, NetherRealm confirmed Injustice comics writer Tom Taylor would be returning to the franchise to write the new game. Boon also said a port to PC is “likely.”

We’ll update this story with any further details (or videos) shared during the event.

Boon shared an image recently that promised two roster reveals would come during today’s panel. It included silhouettes of the two, though it was difficult to glean much from those at the time.

Injustice 2, a sequel to 2013’s Injustice: Gods Among Us, is scheduled to come out in 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
