It’s getting hard to keep track of all the TV spots and teasers that are being released in advance of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The good news is that it’s just over two weeks until the film finally arrives in cinema–in the meantime, the latest pair of teasers both feature some brief new shots. Check out the latest one here:
And this is the other:
In an interview with Empire magazine this month, director JJ Abrams spoke about how the much-anticipated lightsaber action in The Force Awakens will differ from the previous movies, in particuar the very choreographed style of the prequels.
“When you look at Star Wars and Empire, they are very different lightsaber battles, but for me they felt more powerful because they were not quite as slick,” he said, via Star Wars News Net. “I was hoping to go for something much more primitive, aggressive, and rougher, a throwback to the kind of heart-stopping lightsaber fights I remembered being so enthralled by as a kid.”
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on December 18, 2016. It stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill.
