One of the year’s biggest StarCraft II tournaments is almost here. After eight months of gruelling competition, some of the world’s best players are preparing to battle it out at the IEM Season VIII – World Championship.
Regional qualifiers and winners from IEM tournaments in Shanghai, New York, Singapore, Sao Paulo, and Cologne will compete at IEM Katowice for a winner-takes-all prize pool of $100,000. That’s right, this isn’t your normal tournament – the entire prize pool will be awarded to the first-place winner! The tension will be palpable and competitors will have to fight tooth and nail in order to survive.
The remaining spots for the initial Ro16 will be decided following the Open Qualifier Bracket on March 13, with the final bracket drawn shortly afterward. Who will come out on top? Tune in to find out!
