Microsoft as well passed along a similar statement, “We look forward to opening the world of ‘Fable Legends’ to players this holiday, but don’t have anything more to share on specific release timing. The date listed in the San Diego Comic-Con Xbox recap video was incorrect and we apologize for any confusion.”

The original story appears below.

It appears Microsoft has accidentally revealed the release date for Lionhead’s upcoming role-playing game Fable Legends. An official Xbox video from Comic-Con reveals the launch date as October 13.

Microsoft has not officially announced a release date for the game, only confirming that it will launch sometime later this year.

We have followed up with Microsoft in an attempt to confirm the launch timing for Fable Legends. The date was first spotted by people on Reddit.
