Xbox Entertainment Studios is developing a television series based loosely on the life of the rapper Nas. According to Deadline, the series will be titled Street Dreams, and is set during the 1990s.

Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies, The Wackness) will serve as the project’s writer and director. Nas himself is involved in writing the series, as well as contributing music. The show will be set in Long Island’s Queensbridge housing complex, where the rapper grew up.

Last year, Xbox Entertainment Studios announced several Xbox-exclusive original programs, including the Halo show and Quantum Break show. The programs will launch on both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles this year.

Just last month, Xbox multimedia executive Blair Westlake resigned from Microsoft. Westlake was allegedly one of Microsoft’s biggest supporters of online entertainment, and was instrumental in helping the Xbox platform become a destination for movies and TV, not just games.
